Job summary

G&W Electric Co. is seeking a Machine Operator I in Bolingbrook, IL to set up and operate one or two pieces of moderately complex manufacturing equipment. You will adhere to safety procedures, train teammates when needed, and document production activities.

The role requires basic reading of instructions, good communication with supervisors, and the ability to operate various machinery while maintaining quality and efficiency in a busy facility.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• 6+ months of manufacturing experience (preferred)
• Able to safely use small hand and power tools
• Able to read and interpret work instructions and communicate with supervisor
• Able to operate a variety of machinery

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate machinery using hand tools as necessary
• Dispose of hazardous chemicals properly
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by following procedures
• Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies efficiently
• Train others in machine operator tasks as needed
• Inspect all work for defects before passing to next operation
• Document actions by completing production and quality forms
