Job summary

Dal-Tile Distribution, Inc. in Fayette Plant, Alabama is seeking a Machine Operator Relief to support multiple departments by operating production equipment and assisting with changeovers and inspections. The role emphasizes safety, quality control, and teamwork in a manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of manufacturing experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and basic English proficiency. Dal-Tile certification for powered industrial trucks is required.

Qualifications

Highschool diploma or equivalent required.
1 year of manufacturing/production experience preferred.
Good oral and written communication skills; good recordkeeping and listening skills.
Accurate measurement capability and basic English; ability to understand and speak basic English.
Must be Dal-Tile certified to operate powered industrial trucks.

Responsibilities

Operates production equipment according to standard operating procedures.
May function as a changeover; assist with color changes, setting, material handling, inspection, and slab handling.
Conducts tests or inspections as required on the control plan and according to test methods.
Performs additional tasks as documented in the job task check sheet.
May stop production equipment if safety, quality, or mechanical issues prevent operation or compliance with product requirements.
Follows ISO operating procedures and maintains quality checks as specified.
Keeps area safe, clean, and organized.
Performs other related duties as required.
