Job summary

Custom Pipe and Coupling Inc. in Lubbock, TX is seeking a Machine Operator I to run and monitor manufacturing equipment, ensure on-time quality parts, and follow safety procedures. Training may be provided to prepare for daily duties.

Responsibilities include starting/stopping machines safely, inspecting parts, and maintaining logs. The role may require rotating shifts and occasional overtime. A high school diploma or GED is required or substituted with relevant experience.

Qualifications

• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be willing to learn and improve to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• High school diploma or GED required. Adequate work experience may be substituted in lieu of diploma or GED.
• Willingness to follow written or oral work instructions and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Start and stop the machine safely without supervision.
• Place unfinished parts and remove finished parts from machine safely.
• Monitor machine operation.
• Check part quality with designated measurement instruments.
• Assist in maintenance and repair of machinery.
• Operate tools and machinery to aid the manufacturing process.
• Perform periodic checks on equipment and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Oversee the machine while executing tasks and make adjustments to improve results.
• Produce quality parts according to targets and schedules set by the Plant Manager.
• Record all machine actions and log completed parts for records.
• Ensure duties are performed safely and efficiently.
• Keep a clean and orderly work area.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts that may include early/late hours, weekends, or overtime.
