Job summary

UFP Industries' Salisbury, NC facility is seeking a Machine Operator I to set up and operate production equipment in accordance with established procedures. The role ensures materials and supplies are available and ready for the line.

Responsibilities include completing area setup, feeding and monitoring the machine, stacking and labeling finished products, keeping the area safe and organized, recording production data, and supporting safety and quality programs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months of experience in manufacturing and/or assembling.
• Working knowledge of basic math preferred.
• High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate the production machine according to procedures.
• Feed materials and monitor the machine for safe operation.
• Label, band, and stack finished products as required.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Maintain production records and report issues.
• Follow safety and quality procedures and participate in programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
