The Machine Operator I should have excellent mechanical abilities, troubleshooting skills, and be highly motivated to learn and perform independently.

Major Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

• Follow production procedures to ensure safety, quality, and production demands are met.
• Follow documented work instructions and accurately document relevant operational information.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and identify root causes for automation line performance problems.
• Think critically and solve problems with a detail-oriented approach following complex instructions.
• Assist with root cause analysis of department inefficiencies, developing and implementing solutions.
• Collaborate with team to improve equipment functionality and efficiency.

• Perform equipment care routines and operation.
• Respond to machine faults by diagnosing potential causes, reacting appropriately, and recovering the machine.
• Input or correct tracking information in machine controls.
• Diagnose basic issues and safely reset/restart equipment.
• Monitor material levels and replenish to ensure effective operation.
• Perform preventive maintenance to ensure continuous operation, visually inspecting machinery and robots.
• Complete and maintain TPM logs.

• Ensure quality standards by verifying settings through measurements and sample workpieces.
• Use instruments and gauges to perform measurements and base decisions on data collected.

• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• A high school diploma/GED is preferred.
• Previous machine operator experience or comparable education is preferred.
• Must have previous powder coating experience.
• Good communication skills (oral and written).
• Basic computer skills are required.
• Goal-oriented with enthusiasm, focused on enhancing product quality, reducing downtime, prolonging asset life, optimizing performance, and increasing efficiency.
