Johnson & Johnson in Raynham, MA is seeking a Machine Operator 1 to operate a range of manufacturing equipment and support the production of medical devices. You will follow established processes, ensure product quality, and maintain safety and accuracy in daily tasks.

The role requires a high school diploma and preferably 6+ months of manufacturing experience. The position offers comprehensive benefits and a base pay range of $34,100–$54,395 annually.

Responsabilidades

  • Operates a variety of equipment used in the manufacture of medical devices in accordance with established manufacturing processes and quality requirements.
  • Performs operations based on cell assignment and product requirements, which may include cutting raw materials, drilling, milling, bending, deburring, buffing, laser etching, wax injection, dipping, dewaxing, pouring, assembly, packaging, and labeling.
  • Operates a variety of manufacturing equipment, including CNC, hydraulic, pneumatic, CMM, grinding, drag, manual, and automated equipment.
  • May also assemble, package, and label orthopedic medical devices following approved procedures and operate manual and semi-automatic packaging equipment.
  • Inspects in-process and finished products for dimensional and cosmetic compliance to established specifications.
  • Completes required process documentation, inspection records, work instructions, and product traceability documentation.

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. Position: Machine Operator 1

Purpose: Operates diverse types of machinery in an assigned cell, in order to, produce various types of Medical instruments and implants. Equipment used depends on product being manufactured or operation being performed and may vary from cell to cell or department. Under direction of the cell lead, works to ensure production requirements are met, product quality is maintained, machine maintenance schedules are adhered to and safety rules are followed.

Responsibilities
  • Operates a variety of equipment used in the manufacture of medical devices in accordance with established manufacturing processes and quality requirements.
  • Performs operations based on cell assignment and product requirements, which may include, but are not limited to, cutting raw materials, drilling, milling, bending, deburring, buffing, laser etching, wax injection, dipping, dewaxing, pouring, assembly, packaging, and labeling.
  • Operates a variety of manufacturing equipment, including but not limited to CNC, hydraulic, pneumatic, CMM, grinding, drag, manual, and automated equipment.
  • This may include lathes, mills, grinders, vibratory machines, drill presses, bead blasters, grinding wheels, buffers, bench presses, laser etching machines, assembly equipment, and packaging/labeling equipment.
  • Inspects in-process and finished products for dimensional and cosmetic compliance to established specifications.
  • May also assemble, package, and label orthopedic medical devices following approved procedures and operate manual and semi-automatic packaging equipment.
  • Utilizes a variety of measuring instruments, including gauges, micrometers, calipers, comparators, pH meters, go/no-go gauges, conductivity meters, visual inspection tools, and digital titrators for chemical analysis.
  • Uses a variety of hand tools, including but not limited to wrenches, screwdrivers, and deburring knives.
  • Performs routine Operator Asset Care activities, including checking and replacing coolant, monitoring fluid levels, removing metal chips, supporting equipment maintenance and repairs, changing belts, and maintaining process chemicals.
  • Completes rework as required on products that do not meet specifications and collaborates with Cell Leaders and other production teams to resolve quality-related issues.
  • Follows established safety practices and procedures to prevent injury to self and coworkers.
  • Understands and complies with all policies applicable to the role while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, and compliance.
  • Ensures in-process quality checks are completed according to established specifications and collaborates with Quality and Production teams to address and resolve issues.
  • Performs work in compliance with all applicable medical device manufacturing requirements, including FDA QSR and ISO standards.
  • Accurately completes required process documentation, inspection records, work instructions, and product traceability documentation.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support business requirements.
  • Regularly lifts materials weighing 5 to 25 pounds and occasionally lifts items weighing more than 50 pounds.
  • Demonstrates the ability to learn, understand, and adhere to department-specific procedures and training requirements.
Qualifications / Requirements
  • Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Six months or more of work experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

Pay & Benefits

The anticipated base pay range for this position is : $34,100.00 - $54,395.00

  • Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).
  • This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive program.
  • Vacation –120 hours per calendar year
  • Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Colorado –48 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington –56 hours per calendar year
  • Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays –13 days per calendar year
  • Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
  • Parental Leave – 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child
  • Bereavement Leave – 240 hours for an immediate family member: 40 hours for an extended family member per calendar year
  • Caregiver Leave – 80 hours in a 52-week rolling period
