  • Verifies functionality of safety features prior to machine operation.
  • Sets up and performs minor calibrations of machinery.
  • Performs first article inspections.
  • Operates machinery in a consistently safe manner adjusting as needed.
  • Moves and feeds raw material or parts to semi-automated machines.
  • Removes or shifts material and/or finished products to facilitate proper flow.
  • Performs inspection of machinery to ensure efficient operation and production.
  • Troubleshoots and fixes issues that arise during shift and reports problems to leadership.
  • Maintains activity logs and keeps daily records of down time and machine operations.
  • Cleans equipment before, during and after shift.
  • Maintains a clean work area utilizing good housekeeping practices.
  • Adheres to health and safety regulations and wears required PPE.

Job Summary: Set-up, operate, and maintain one or multiple manufacturing equipment machinery. Ensure machines produce high quality products, run smoothly and are properly maintained.

Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements:

One to three months of relevant experience in a manufacturing setting.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

  • Ability to follow written or verbal instructions.
  • Working knowledge of diverse machinery and measurement tools.
  • Understanding of production procedures.
  • Ability to read tape measure, blueprints, schematics and manuals.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate with others.

Work Environment

  • Ability to lift and move objects up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to stand, bend, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods during shift.
  • Required to wear proper personal protective equipment.
  • Ability to work in manufacturing facilities and regularly be exposed to varying and extreme temperatures, loud noises, dust, chemical fumes, sharp metal objects and heavy forklift traffic.
  • This position is designated as a safety-sensitive job and therefore subject to drug and alcohol testing, including random testing.
