Job summary

Milwaukee Tool is seeking an Operator to support production by operating diverse equipment and ensuring quality per provided criteria and work instructions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain safety, quality, and productivity in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes following 6S standards, adhering to procedures, and contributing to continuous improvement while embracing Milwaukee Tool’s culture pillars.

Qualifications

• Machine operation experience preferred.
• Understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Basic math skills required.
• Basic mechanical skills and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety policies and practice 6S standards to maintain a safe and clean working environment for all employees.
• Identify and elevate potential safety risks on the floor.
• Operate equipment, independently or in a team environment, per the work instructions.
• Utilize electronic devices daily to reference work instructions, control plans, visual criteria and accurately log production numbers.
• Perform repetitive tasks as needed and maintain production pace and quality standards as specified by the applicable documentation to meet process metrics such as delivery, efficiency, and quality.
• Recognize and react to problems with equipment, elevate as required.
• Close attention to detail concerning product quality through utilizing visual criteria and elevate issues to appropriate personnel.
• Use fixtures, jigs, and hand tools as necessary to ensure proper position and/or movement of components and parts.
• Work with Machine Set Up Technician to resolve problems with equipment.
• Clean equipment as required to ensure proper operation.
• Conduct Autonomous Maintenance tasks as prescribed.
• Place processed parts into containers and palletize per the work instruction and at specified quantities per the part tag.
• Other duties and projects as determined by business and production needs.
