Job summary

Dover Food Retail in Madison, GA is seeking a Machine Operator I to fabricate parts and assemblies per engineering drawings and production standards. You will use various hand tools and machines to support manufacturing.

The role requires 1–2 years of experience, a GED or high school diploma, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and work in a fast-paced environment. You’ll participate in cross-training and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 1–2 years of production machine operator experience.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate assemblies/parts per engineering documents and production standards.
• Set up and lay out work using fixtures and guides to fabricate parts.
• Arrange parts for fabrication and staging processes.
• Review finished assemblies and parts for accuracy against drawings and BOMs.
• Report fabrication issues and assist in resolutions as required.
• Diagnose process and quality issues and make improvement recommendations.
• Reject defective parts and materials per policy.
• Ensure safe, careful use and maintenance of tools and equipment.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings as required.
• Participate in cross training program.
