JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for safe and effective operation of all pillow manufacturing equipment.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Maintenance:
    Maintains Pillow Production areas ensuring that all inside and outside areas are free from debris and other hazards, maintaining a safe and clean working environment. Assists with performing repairs to the Company’s equipment.
  2. Safety:
    Follows Company wide safety policies to prevent employee accidents and injuries. Responsible for ensuring all equipment guards are in place and all safety equipment is operational, including but not limited to lockout-tagout.
  3. Production:
    Responsible for filling feed hoppers of Garnett machine with appropriate fibers. Will also be responsible for reporting accurate production performance, downtime, and runtime for each work order utilizing touch screen and RF equipment as well as maintaining other pertinent production information as required. Responsible for machine set up for each work order, verifying component parts are pulled to production area for start of production. Working with QC to verify pillows are producing at ATC specifications.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. 2+ Years Machine Maintenance Experience
  2. High School Diploma or equivalent.
  3. PC skills required.
  4. Strong analytical/problem solving skills are essential.
  5. Solid Math skills.
  6. Experience with basic equipment repair.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  1. Ability to frequently lift objects weighing up to and including 50 pounds.
  2. Ability to frequently carry objects weighing up to and including 25 pounds.
  3. Ability to push and/or pull objects weighing up to and including 50 pounds.
  4. Ability to withstand exposure to extreme climate variations; exposure to heat and cold.
  5. Ability to crawl, bend, kneel, climb and/or squat.
  6. Ability to frequently stand/walk.
