Description

  1. Verifies functionality of safety features prior to machine operation.
  2. Sets up and performs minor calibrations of machinery.
  3. Performs first article inspections.
  4. Operates machinery in a consistently safe manner, adjusting as needed.
  5. Moves and feeds raw material or parts to semi-automated machines.
  6. Removes or shifts material and/or finished products to facilitate proper flow.
  7. Performs inspection of machinery to ensure efficient operation and production.
  8. Troubleshoots and fixes issues that arise during shift and reports problems to leadership.
  9. Maintains activity logs and keeps daily records of downtime and machine operations.
  10. Cleans equipment before, during, and after shift.
  11. Maintains a clean work area utilizing good housekeeping practices.
  12. Adheres to health and safety regulations and wears required PPE.

Job Summary: Set-up, operate, and maintain one or multiple manufacturing equipment machinery. Ensure machines produce high-quality products, run smoothly, and are properly maintained.

Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements: One to three months of relevant experience in a manufacturing setting.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities:

  • Ability to follow written or verbal instructions.
  • Working knowledge of diverse machinery and measurement tools.
  • Understanding of production procedures.
  • Ability to read tape measure, blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate with others.

Work Environment:

  • Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, bend, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods during shift.
  • Required to wear proper personal protective equipment.
  • Ability to work in manufacturing facilities and be exposed to varying and extreme temperatures, loud noises, dust, chemical fumes, sharp metal objects, and heavy forklift traffic.
  • This position is safety-sensitive and subject to drug and alcohol testing, including random testing.
