Caterpillar is seeking a Machine Operator in Texas to machine engine components for diesel engines. You will join a global team focused on safety, quality, and efficiency, reporting to section managers within the operations department.

Responsibilities include operating machining equipment, maintaining quality records, and supporting continuous improvement. Shift options include 1st and 2nd, with a starting pay of $19 per hour, plus comprehensive benefits.

Qualificações

• Two months' experience in a machining/manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Beginner level experience with electronic standard work or SOPs and with Microsoft Office.

• Follow standard operating procedures and area specific work instructions.
• Provide information to supervisors about processes within the assigned area.
• All other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

As a Machine Operator, you will perform the duties associated with the machining of engines blocks and cylinder heads for Caterpillar Diesel Engines. Machine Operators report to Section Managers and will be assigned within the operations department.

About IPSD

Caterpillar’s Industrial Power Systems Division (IPSD) designs, tests and manufactures 0.5 to 18L engines that not only power Caterpillar machines, but also power over 5000 other applications including Marine, Petroleum, Industrial Applications, Electric Generators, and Locomotives. Caterpillar’s company strategy includes sustainability as one of four focus areas and IPSD is engaged and actively preparing green energy solutions for the future.

What you will do:

• Operate machining equipment to produce parts free of quality defects
• Maintain records related to inventory, quality, defective parts, and defective equipment
• Maintain a safe and clean workstation

• Submit and assist with the resolution of C.P.S. Continuous Improvement cards
• Follow standard operating procedures and area specific work instructions
• Provide information to supervisors and managers about processes within assigned area
• All other duties as assigned

What you will have:

• Minimum of 2 months' experience in a machining, manufacturing environment
• Must have the ability to work well with others
• Must have general knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Must have experience
• Beginner level experience with electronic standard work or SOP's
• Beginner level experience with Microsoft Office

What would make you a top candidate:

• 2 or more station certifications

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to perform repetitive operations
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.

Additional Information:

• $19 per hour starting payrate
• 1st Shift: Monday – Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pm
• 2nd Shift: Monday – Friday, 2:00pm – 10:30pm
