Job summary

Collins Aerospace in San Marcos, TX is seeking a Machinist I to assemble, repair, and fabricate metal parts using precision equipment on the 3rd shift. This role requires reading blueprints, GD&T, and engineering specifications and will involve setting up machines and inspecting parts.

You will work Sunday-Thursday 11PM–7:30AM, with compensation ranging from $21 to $23 per hour plus benefits. HS diploma or GED is typically required, and experience with 5-axis CNC and G&M code is preferred.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Experience interpreting blueprints, work orders, engineering plans, specifications, reference planes, designs sketches and geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
• Prefer experience operating a 5-axis CNC machine and understanding G&M code.

• Takes measurements of material and selects appropriate machines for the process.

What You Will Do

Qualifications

• Typically requires a HS Diploma or GED
• Experience in Interpreting blueprints, work orders, engineering plans, specifications, reference planes, designs sketches and geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T) for operation, material, and dimensional requirements.
• We Prefer Experience operating a 5 Axis CNC Machine
• Understand and able to interpret G&M Code
