Qualifications

  • Proficiency with equipment such as radial drills, fin tube machinery, large vertical band saws, presses, breaks and shears

Responsibilities

  • Provide materials to workstations and locations as needed
  • Read blueprints or instructions for job specifications
  • Set up, operate, and maintain machines, including loading, machining, unloading, and deburring
  • Measure, mark, and scribe dimensions for accuracy
  • Select and secure tools, fixtures, accessories, and materials
  • Monitor machine operations, detect malfunctions, and make adjustments
  • Replace and install machined parts and test functionality
  • Maintain tools and equipment with limited assistance
  • Use precision measuring devices to check work and troubleshoot
  • Escalate issues to Lead or Supervisor when needed
  • Transport product to assigned department
  • Rig and transport structures and products with cranes and forklifts
  • Follow instructions and assist team leaders or managers
  • Train others as needed and cross-train in different areas
  • Maintain a tidy work area during and after shifts
  • Perform other tasks as assigned

About the job

As an integral member of our team , you will play a pivotal role as a Machine Operator . Y ou will be essential in operating and maintaining conventional and special-purpose machines to fabricate structural parts and assemblies with precision. You'll have the opportunity to apply your expertise in machine shop theory, shop mathematics, material machinability, and layout techniques-helping drive both quality and efficiency. With minimal assistance , you'll contribute directly to our organization's success and ongoing growth.

This position is in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.

As a part of the team, you will:
  • Provide materials to workstations and various locations as needed.
  • Read blueprints or instructions for job specifications.
  • Set up, operate , and maintain machines, including loading, machining, unloading, and de-burring.
  • Measure, mark, and scribe dimensions for accuracy.
  • Select and secure tools, fixtures, accessories, and materials.
  • Monitor machine operations, detect malfunctions, and make necessary adjustments.
  • Replace and install machined parts, ensuring proper functionality.
  • May install machined replacement parts into mechanisms, equipment and test operation of unit to ensure functionality and performance.
  • Maintains machine and associated tools with limited assistance .
  • Use precision measuring devices to check work and troubleshoot issues, escalating concerns when needed.
  • Troubleshoot incoming problems; communicate with Lead or Supervisor any that require assistance .
  • Transport product to assigned department.
  • Safely rig and transport structures and products using overhead cranes and forklifts.
  • Follow instructions, seek clarification, and assist team leaders or managers.
  • Assist Team Leader or Manager with various tasks and training others as needed.
  • Crosstrain in different areas to enhance team flexibility.
  • Maintain a tidy work area during and after each shift
  • Perform other assigned tasks as needed.

What you know :
  • You have a High School Diploma or GED, preferred and:
  • 1 year of professional experience related to manufacturing preferred
  • Basic math skills including the ability to read a tape measure and calipers required .
  • Demonstrated ability to read blueprints preferred.
  • Experience using industrial machines preferred.
  • Forklift operation certification preferred.
  • Overhead crane experience preferred.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in one or more of the following equipment: radial drills, fin tube machinery, large vertical band saw, presses, breaks and shears.

  • Regularly exert up to 50 lbs of force occasionally; 30 lbs of force frequently
  • Stand or walk for 80% of the workday
  • Required to have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles and/or heavy equipment.

Environmental Factors (hazardous materials, work location, work surfaces, exposure):
  • Must wear P ersonal Protective Equipment : steel toe boots, safety glasses, and ear plugs
  • Exposure to various weather conditions cold or hot, wet/humid conditions, and loud noise levels . No climate-controlled environment.
  • Work near hazards: moving machinery, vehicles, electrical currents, and chemicals
