Job summary

Generac Power Systems is seeking a manufacturing operator to execute basic machinery operations at a steady pace with attention to quality. The role includes learning product effects on the business and maintaining an understanding of assembly processes.

Applicants should be able to follow safety rules, lift materials, and communicate hazards while collaborating with teammates. The position may involve training others and rotating among stations as needed.

Qualifications

• High school Diploma or equivalent (GED). 1 year of experience operating relevant machinery or equivalent.
• Detail oriented and organized.
• Work in a team environment in a professional manner.
• Effectively communicate.
• Utilize applicable hand tools with precision.

Responsibilities

• Proficiently operate basic machinery independently at a defined rate with proper quality
• Develop and maintain an understanding of the products they assemble and how they impact the business.
• Continuous learning of the principles, practices, and processes of their job as changes require and similar jobs
• Safely handle materials utilizing proper lifting techniques, including overhead hoists/lift tables.
• Communicate hazards and/or equipment issues with leadership.
• Occasionally provide basic training to employees as needed
• Cross train in different areas within the department and flex to different stations as needed
