Position Summary

The machine operator entails operating high speed sophisticated machines by managing settings and conducting tests to ensure a successful operation in the production process.

Position Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Sets up, operates and tends the PT machine
2. Inspect equipment in use through troubleshooting, checking for any problems in them and fixing them immediately if any, in order to prevent breakdown in the course of work
3. Feed dough into the PT machine
4. Shovel filling into the PT machine
5. Monitor the PT process; conduct process checks to verify the filling, dough consistency & quality to spec
6. Monitors PT closely to detect any signs of malfunctioning that may affect the quality of work and tackles it immediately to avoid it getting worse
7. Running product to specifications, ie: overlaps, etc.
8. Assist with training backup personnel
9. Follows established equipment Lockout/Tagout procedures as required
10. Follow all safety rules and regulations per established company policies
11. Operate a forklift/palletjack to pull and move raw materials
12. Bring any quality problems to the attention of the Lead/Manager/Supervisor
13. Bring any machinery problems to the attention of the Maintenance Team/Lead
14. Perform all other duties as assigned
