Job summary

JOHN B SANFILIPPO & SON, INC is seeking a full-time Packaging Operator in Bainbridge, GA. You will operate, maintain, and troubleshoot packaging equipment to ensure efficiency and quality while following HACCP, FSMA, and SQF guidelines.

You will lead and train production line personnel, perform routine maintenance, and document production activities to support regulatory compliance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in manufacturing or machine operation preferred.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions with attention to detail.
• Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Effective communication and leadership abilities.
• Familiarity with troubleshooting tools and basic electrical/mechanical systems.
• Basic computer literacy for operating production systems.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50-60 pounds as needed.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor packaging equipment to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
• Perform mechanical changeovers and preventative maintenance on production machinery.
• Identify and troubleshoot issues, reporting concerns to the appropriate team members.
• Conduct quality control inspections to maintain compliance with company and regulatory standards.
• Lead and train production line personnel in machine operation and workplace procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to all safety regulations.
• Ensure compliance with food safety guidelines, including HACCP, FSMA, and SQF.
• Accurately complete all required documentation for production tracking and quality assurance.
