Job summary

Milwaukee Tool is seeking a dedicated Machine Operator to support production on the B shift (3pm-1am, Monday through Thursday). You will operate equipment, follow work instructions, and help maintain a safe, high-quality production floor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Machine operation experience preferred.
• Understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Basic math skills required.
• Basic mechanical skills helpful.
• Basic computer skills helpful.
• Ability to read and understand provided work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety policies and 6S standards to maintain a safe and clean working environment.
• Identify and elevate potential safety risks on the floor.
• Operate equipment, independently or in a team, per work instructions.
• Reference work instructions, control plans, and visual criteria using electronic devices and log production numbers.
• Maintain production pace and quality to meet process metrics such as delivery and efficiency.
• Recognize and react to equipment problems and escalate as needed.
• Maintain attention to detail to ensure product quality and report issues.
• Use fixtures, jigs, and hand tools to ensure proper position of components.
• Collaborate with Machine Set Up Technician to resolve equipment issues.
• Clean equipment as required for proper operation and perform autonomous maintenance tasks.
• Place processed parts into containers and pallets per work instructions.

Your Role on Our Team

The Operator supports production by operating a variety of equipment to produce quality product per provided criteria and work instructions. This position is required to cooperate with other cross functional departments to ensure and maintain part quality, proper procedure execution, a safe and productive work environment, and culture standards.

Currently hiring for B Shift: 3pm-1am Monday - Thursday

You’ll Be DISRUPTIVE Through These Duties And Responsibilities

• Follow all safety policies and practice 6S standards to maintain a safe and clean working environment for all employees.
• Identify and elevate potential safety risks on the floor.
• Operate equipment, independently or in a team environment, per the work instructions.
• Utilize electronic devices daily to reference work instructions, control plans, visual criteria and accurately log production numbers.
• Perform repetitive tasks as needed and maintain production pace and quality standards as specified by the applicable documentation to meet process metrics such as delivery, efficiency, and quality.
• Recognize and react to problems with equipment, elevate as required.
• Close attention to detail concerning product quality through utilizing visual criteria and elevate issues to appropriate personnel.
• Use fixtures, jigs, and hand tools as necessary to ensure proper position and/or movement of components and parts.
• Work with Machine Set Up Technician to resolve problems with equipment.
• Clean equipment as required to ensure proper operation.
• Conduct Autonomous Maintenance tasks as prescribed.
• Place processed parts into containers and palletize per the work instruction and at specified quantities per the part tag.
• Other duties and projects as determined by business and production needs.
