Job description

Machine Operator I is responsible for the setup and operation of a production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. They secure and maintain materials and supplies required for the operation.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Complete work area setup.
  2. Operate and feed the machine safely and efficiently, following established procedures.
  3. Stack completed products according to procedures; may cover, label, and band components/finished products if required.
  4. Ensure the work area is safe, clean, and organized; verify that equipment is safe to operate.
  5. Complete pre-shift/startup equipment inspection checklist and report any issues.
  6. Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
  7. Keep production records as required.
  8. Check materials and finished products for compliance with standards.
  9. Perform duties in accordance with safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards.
  10. Participate in safety, continuous improvement, and other relevant programs and meetings.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is preferred but not required.
  • Minimum of 6 months of manufacturing and/or assembling experience required.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
