Job summary

Georg Fischer USA is seeking a Manufacturing Operator to safely operate authorized production machines, adjust settings, and complete tasks to specifications in a timely fashion.

You will read blueprints when required, measure parts with calipers, support quality standards, and follow ISO and safety procedures in a typical office/factory environment. The role requires clear communication with team members and adherence to work instructions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints when required.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate machine assigned by the line lead, team leader, supervisor, or manager.
• Adjust machine settings to accurately complete tasks according to specifications and in a timely fashion.
• Perform manual tasks such as packaging, crating, labeling, counting, and sorting products.
• Follow established procedures, policies, and ISO documentation.
• Maintain quality standards on all products and communicate with supervisory staff.
• Read and interpret blueprints as required by operation.
• Ensure safety practices and proper use of safety equipment.

Summary

Adjust machine settings to accurately complete tasks according to specifications and in a timely fashion. Perform manual tasks such as package, crate, label, count, and sort products. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Required to understand and follow all company policies and procedures
• Ensure that all guard and safety equipment have been installed and properly checked
• Safely operate machine assigned by the line lead, team leader, supervisor, or manager
• Required to maintain quality standards on all products
• Must be able to communicate clearly with co-workers, line lead, team leader, supervisor, and manager
• Adhere to ISO 9001 Quality, ISO 14001 Environmental, and OSHAS 18001 certification requirements
• Requires regular attendance per the schedule assigned by supervisor
• Required to understand and follow all safety policies and procedures
• Required to understand and follow work procedures as set forth by all ISO documentation
• Read and interpret blueprints whenever required by operation
• Check parts dimensionally with calipers and measuring tools to maintain engineering drawing tolerances
• Responsible to maintain a safe working environment for all employees

Required Skills/Abilities

• Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within manufacturing environment

Education And Experience

• High school diploma or its equivalent is desired

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements

• Typical office/factory environment with possibility of exposure to heat in production areas
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. in a safe manner
• Must be able to perform repetitive motion. Examples: walking, reaching, bending, twisting, stooping, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods of time
• Clarity of vision and the ability to focus on a fast and repetitious operation for extended periods of time
• Exposure to heavy equipment or components needed to produce product (safety-toe shoes are required)
• Exposure to machine noise levels (hearing protection is required)
• Exposure to electrical and mechanical moving parts
