Job Description

Albany Engineered Composites (AEC) is a leading designer and manufacturer of lightweight composite aerospace structures, subassemblies, and components. Our expertise is utilized in platforms like Boeing 7-series, Airbus A380, Sikorsky S-76, and defense products for F-35, CH-53K, and JASSM. We are committed to delivering high-quality, economical solutions, supported by significant infrastructure and automation investments.

Primary Responsibilities

• Operate light-duty machine tools and equipment such as small lathes, power mills, drills, and saws.
• Set up machining machines, perform adjustments, and maintain machines.
• Check work using gauges, jigs, and fixtures to ensure close tolerances.
• Work with CNC machines, troubleshoot issues, and edit programs as needed.
• Use software like SurfCam for creating tool paths.
• Maintain a clean work area and adhere to safety standards.
• Follow written work orders, blueprints, and verbal instructions.
• Use ERP/MRP software and operate forklifts or pallet jacks as required.
• Ensure reliable attendance is maintained.

Shift

Evening shift, Monday-Thursday, 5pm-3:30am

Experience/Education/Skills

• High school diploma or GED.
• Proficiency in computer and software use.
• At least 2 years of experience with measuring instruments like calipers and micrometers.

Preferred Additional Skills

• Ability to read product drawings and technical instructions.
• Knowledge of machining concepts and terminology.
• Experience with CNC machines and maintenance.
• Attention to detail and quality.
