Job summary

Schwan's Company in Salina, Kansas is hiring for a 2nd shift production role in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. You will set up and pre-run equipment, monitor line speeds and batch formulas, and ensure product appearance and safety across shifts.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, ability to lift 50 lbs, and flexibility for overtime, weekends, and alternate shifts. Competitive pay and benefits accompany the role.

Responsibilities

• Set up and pre-run equipment to ensure proper production startup.
• Control line speeds, batch formula, production rates, and equipment operations.
• Perform quality checks and document downtime and HACCP-related records.
• Complete required paperwork using SAP, SOPs, and safety procedures.

Starting Pay: $18.75 per hour

Additional $2.00 shift differential from 3 p.m. -- 6 a.m.

Shift: 2nd - D Crew (every other Wednesday through Saturday)

Hours: 6:00 p.m. - 6:30 a.m.

What You Will Do

• Setting up and pre-running equipment to ensure proper production startup.
• Controlling line speeds, batch formula, production rates, starting and stopping equipment, and overall product appearance and safety.
• Completing various quality checks.
• Completing all required paperwork (for example: downtime, HACCP, etc., utilizing SAP, SOPs, Safety operation, training, as appropriate).

What You Will Bring

• High school diploma or GED with 0--1 year of relevant experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.
• Comfortable with physical labor in a fast-paced, production environment.
• Be able to stand and walk on concrete floors for long periods and work in varying temperature conditions.
• Flexible working overtime, weekends, and alternative shifts as needed.
