What You'll Do :

Performs a variety of set up and operation duties to prepare and construct foam sub-components and inserts to fit and cushion any container configurations and sizes and makes self-inspections.

• Works from engineering prints, email drawings, Bill of Materials, assembly drawings, written and/or verbal instructions. Plans sequence of operations; and maximizes stock usage for a variety of first time and repeat requirements.
• Understanding of dimensioning and tolerancing. Ability to read and interpret 2D prints and 3D models.
• Selects stock and cuts sheet stock to proper dimensions and tolerances.
• Operates and performs daily operator maintenance of foam processing and machining equipment including but not limited to Slabber, Convoluter , Die Press, Thermal Bonder, Apex Routers, and Water Jets.
• Stacks, packs, seals labels materials for palletization.
• Removes and processes foam scrap as required .
• Uses computer network to bring up file at machine center. Set adjustments, pressures, etc. according to charts, tables for foam type and dimensions. Operates equipment to obtain proper cuts and pieces. Checks parts for acceptance. Makes first piece inspection. Resolve and/or bring to attention of group leader, supervisor cut file problems and to attention of cut file programmer.
• Performs in process inspection of product.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.

• Must be able to interact effectively and cooperatively with employees at all levels.
• Must have the ability to complete assignments within the timeframe specified by the Manager.

What you may be doing:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be frequently required to execute standard physical activities within the facility areas ( i.e. stand , walk, sit, use hands/fingers).
