Pelican Products, Inc. is hiring a Machine Operator I for the Rotational Molding team in South Deerfield, MA. You will set up and operate rotational molding machines to produce plastic containers and custom parts, following procedures and blueprints, while maintaining quality records.

The role emphasizes safety, attention to detail, and teamwork in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with the 10:00pm–6:00am Sunday–Thursday shift and opportunities to train others.

Responsibilities

• Operate rotational molding machines with minimal supervision
• Follow written and verbal work instructions and manufacturing procedures
• Set up and service molds while monitoring machine controls and product quality
• Perform secondary operations on molded products as needed
• Use powered and manual hand tools, hoists, gantries, and production equipment
• Read basic blueprints and manufacturing work orders
• Maintain quality standards and production records
• Keep work areas and equipment clean, organized, and safe
• Assist with training and sharing technical knowledge with team members
• Work Shift: 10:00pm - 6:00am Sunday - Thursday

What You’ll Do:

The Rotational Molding Operator is responsible for setting up and operating rotational molding machines to produce high-quality plastic containers and custom products while supporting daily manufacturing operations.

• One year of plastic molding or similar machine operation experience preferred

What You May Be Doing:

• Standing, walking, bending, crouching, and repetitive hand/wrist movements throughout the shift
• Lifting and moving up to 40 lbs
• Working flexible hours, overtime, evenings, and weekends as needed
• Operating around manufacturing equipment and production machinery daily

• Must be able to operate in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be constantly required to execute standard physical activities within the facility areas (i.e. stand, walk, sit, use hands/fingers).
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be occasionally required to execute non-standard physical activities within the facility areas (i.e. climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch).
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 40pounds.
• This position requires repetitive hand/wrist activities.
