Summary

The Sheet Metal Forming I supports press brake operations, ensuring safe and quality production.

Responsibilities & Duties

• Operate multiple brake presses, performing various operations safely and efficiently.
• Power up, run, feed, and shut down equipment as required.
• Measure product dimensions for accuracy and perform quality inspections.
• Conduct first piece inspections to verify tolerances and dimensions.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work area.
• Handle materials using manual pallet jacks or forklifts, including staging and moving materials.

Essential Knowledge & Skills

• Read and interpret standard and metric blueprints.
• Calculate bend allowances for different materials and thicknesses.
• Select appropriate punch and die tooling.
• Set up, adjust, and operate Brake Press for various jobs, including prototypes and new parts.
• Inspect parts with precision measuring tools and document findings.
• Stand, reach, bend, twist, sit, and lift up to 50 lbs routinely.
• Use precision measuring tools and read engineering blueprints.
• Communicate effectively.

Qualifications/Requirements

• 3-5 years of CNC press brake experience.
• High School diploma or GED.

Work Arrangement: Onsite
