Summary of Job: The Machine Operator will perform tasks such as setting up, operating, monitoring, troubleshooting, and performing preventive maintenance on assigned machines. They will inspect parts to specifications, make adjustments or tool changes as needed to maintain quality, and interpret blueprints and diagrams to select and secure machinery. Adjusting machine settings to meet specifications efficiently is also essential.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Maintain a strong safety mindset and adhere to safe work practices in a high-speed environment.
• Perform pre-operation activities for proper equipment startup and operation.
• Operate and monitor multiple machines to ensure quality and minimize unplanned stops.
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure continuous, high-quality production.
• Inspect products for defects, reprocessing, and labeling.
• Maintain cleanliness of floors and machinery.

Competencies:

• Math, problem-solving, computer skills, and mechanical aptitude.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of production procedures and proficiency with hand tools.
• Attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks.

Work Environment and Physical Characteristics:

• Exposure to moving equipment, heat, humidity, and noise.
• Frequent standing, stooping, squatting, and lifting up to 60 pounds.
• Operate heavy machinery and pallet jacks.

Position Details:

Full-time shift work in Hopkinsville, KY, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM. Salary: $16/hr.

Dress Code:

Shirts or T-shirts with sleeves, intact pants, no profane images or texts, and closed-toe, non-slip footwear.
