Job Opportunity: Machine Operator Helper

Job Summary

Primary Objective: Operate and maintain the deburring cell, digital inspection equipment, and bend press machine.

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Use deburring tools such as grinders and sanders to remove raised edges and residual material from coupling retainers.
  2. Ream holes in coupling retainers and operate various automatic machines.
  3. Perform tumbling and mechanical polishing on coupling retainers.
  4. Inspect coupling retainers using inspection machines and print data.
  5. Record manual measurement data with basic inspection tools like a height gauge and drop indicator.
  6. Bend raw materials using automatic machines and inspect parts to ensure they meet specifications.
  7. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • Must be a U.S. person as defined by ITAR (U.S. Citizen, Green Card Holder, Asylee, or Refugee).
  • Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
  • Reside within 50 miles of Beltsville, MD.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two years of manufacturing experience.
Position Requirements
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Proficiency with computers and reading engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Ability to stand, sit, and move for 8-12 hours daily.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs regularly.
  • Exposure to oil, dirt, and heat; must wear safety glasses, ear plugs, and steel-toed shoes.
Location and Compensation

Location: Beltsville, MD

Salary: $19/hr

Work Hours: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

Dress code: Sleeved shirts or T-shirts without holes, intact pants, no profane images/text, steel-toed footwear required.
