MACHINE OPERATOR GL3 (BEEF) 1ST SHIFT $20

JBS is seeking an hourly Machine Operator GL3 Team Member. The position starts at $20 per hour.

Job Summary: Associate must have the ability to make precise adjustments, perform basic troubleshooting, and modify or create programs based on equipment, product, and customer needs. These roles serve as the last quality checkpoint before the product reaches both internal and external customers. Effective communication and understanding of information are essential. Must perform all job functions safely, adhering to food safety, GMPs, and quality standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare work area for pre- and post-operational activities.
• Load, unload, and transfer product to and from equipment.
• Monitor production lines, identify issues, and supply or replenish packaging materials as necessary.
• Sort, weigh, wrap, label, verify, or measure product to meet specifications.
• Inspect and remove defective products or packaging materials from the process.
• Arrive prepared at your workstation, perform tasks at scheduled times, and stay until work is complete or instructed otherwise. Overtime may be required.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Set up and tear down equipment, select pre-determined settings, and use proper lifting, bending, and reaching techniques.
• Perform other duties as assigned, report safety concerns or hazards, and perform safety checklists.
• Operate pallet jacks, riders, forklifts, and modify or create program settings to meet production standards.
• Provide machine adjustments and troubleshooting as needed.

Qualifications:

• Must be proficient in General Production 2.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma/GED preferred.
• 2+ years of production industry experience preferred.
• Ability to understand and comply with safety and company policies.
• Basic understanding of production procedures.
• Ability to use knives, saws, and machinery, and lift, load, cut, and package product with both arms and hands.

The work environment may include cold temperatures (34°F) and the use of sharp tools such as knives.
