Job Summary

Set up, operate, or tend glue station, soldering, or brazing machines for metal products, components, or assemblies.

Primary Duties And Responsibilities

1. Operate welding machines to join or bond components, including setting up and adjusting controls.
2. Load workpieces into welding machines and ensure proper operation.
3. Inspect, measure, or test completed metal work pieces to ensure conformance to specifications.
4. Record operational data on production reports.
5. Read blueprints, work orders, or production schedules for instructions.
6. Assemble, align, and clamp workpieces into fixtures for bonding or soldering.
7. Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.

Education and Experience Profile

• High school diploma or GED and/or industrial experience.

Required Skills

• Operation Monitoring, Active Listening, Critical Thinking, Monitoring, Operation and Control, Speaking.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems, production processes, and safety/security protocols.

Tools and Technology

• Calipers, gas welding/brazing equipment, hammers, micrometers, tape measure, machinist square, welding machines, grinders.
