Job summary

Walor North America in Columbus, Ohio is seeking a Machine Operator Forging for the third shift (11:00 pm–7:15 am). You will support the Cold Forging team by feeding material, loading saws, handling forklift operations, and monitoring quality and safety standards.

Machine Operator Forging - Third Shift

Walor North America is looking for a Machine Operator to join its Cold Forging team. In this role, you will be responsible for improving the quality of product and press efficiency for our Columbus, Ohio facility. This position will work 11:00pm - 7:15am, Sunday through Thursday

What you will do

• Operation of machine and secondary equipment, including feeding material manually
• Loading of steel into sawing equipment as required using overhead crane
• Material handling with a forklift
• Support department personnel and tasks
• Measuring/Documenting of product produced to ensure quality standards
• Performing required operator level maintenance tasks
• Sorting non-conforming product (as required)
• Cleaning equipment and surrounding areas
• Special projects as determined by area manager/supervisor/team lead
• Adherence to 5S principles
• Reporting/Documenting equipment related maintenance issues to supervisor/maintenance departmentSupply maintenance request documentation for breakdowns
• Fulfilling thoroughly all tasks within the scope of defined qualifications and responsibilities
• Maintaining confidentiality of proprietary information
• Adherence to all written and verbal directives of the manager/supervisor/team lead
• Adherence to Stop, Call, Wait protocol
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor
