Job summary

ProAmpac is seeking experienced Machine Operators to run ECO Solo Folder/Gluer machines in a fast-paced packaging operation. Overnight shifts are 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM with a 2-2-3 rotating schedule. Starting pay is $22.75/hour and up based on experience, skills, and machine proficiency.

This role requires 8–12 hour shifts, strong teamwork, attention to safety, and the ability to read work orders. We value reliability, communication, and proactive problem-solving on the line.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2+ years of machine operation experience.
  • Folder/Gluer experience preferred and highly valued.
  • Ability to read work orders, safety rules and measurements.

Responsibilities

  • Run and control the folder/gluer operation from setup to shutdown.
  • Manage output, quality and efficiency.
  • Perform efficient setups and changeovers.
  • Read and follow work orders and instructions.
  • Monitor finished goods quality and adjust in real time.
  • Communicate issues clearly to supervisors and support teams.
  • Enter safety, maintenance, quality, or planning requests as needed.
  • Perform operator-level preventive maintenance and machine cleaning.

Description

PAC is hiring multiple experienced Machine Operators to run ECO Solo Folder/Gluer machines in a fast-moving, high-energy packaging operation.

The Shift

Overnights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Rotating schedule: 2-2-3

12-hour shifts

Starting Pay: $22.75/hour and up for highly qualified candidates based on experience, skills, and machine proficiency.

What You’ll Do
  • Run and control the folder/gluer operation from setup to shutdown
  • Manage output, quality, and efficiency
  • Perform efficient setups and changeovers
  • Read and follow work orders and special instructions
  • Monitor finished goods quality and make real-time adjustments
  • Communicate issues clearly to supervisors and support teams
  • Enter safety, maintenance, quality, or planning requests as needed
  • Perform operator-level preventive maintenance and machine cleaning
  • Complete accurate scanning and product labeling
  • Participate in proper shift handoff, sharing what worked and what didn’t
  • Maintain strong housekeeping standards during downtime and end of shift
  • Suggest improvements to keep the machine running at optimal speeds

This is not a "push buttons and walk away" role. We’re looking for operators who take the lead.

What We’re Looking For
  • 2+ years of machine operation experience
  • Folder/Gluer experience strongly preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to read work instructions, safety rules, and measurements
  • Comfortable with basic math and production calculations
  • Able to use computers, handheld devices, and basic data entry
  • Microsoft Excel knowledge is a plus
  • Strong attendance and reliability
  • Willingness to help cover shifts when needed
  • Clear communication skills and a team mindset
Physical & Work Environment
  • Standing for 8-12 hour shifts
  • Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, pushing, pulling, squatting, kneeling
  • Regular lifting up to 50 lbs floor to waist
  • Occasional lifting up to 20 lbs overhead
  • Indoor manufacturing environment. Semi-climate controlled
  • Exposure to moving machinery, dust, fumes, and moderate noiseHearing protection and PPE required
