Job summary

Westmor Industries in Brewer, ME is seeking a Machine Operator - Fabrication to read blueprints, fabricate parts to tolerance, and update paperwork. The role requires operating forklifts and cranes safely and maintaining high quality standards while following a planned assembly schedule.

You will work in a team environment on-site, ensure accurate measurements, convert fractions to decimals, and help keep a clean, organized work area with attention to detail and safety.

Job Description

A Machine Operator - Fabrication is responsible for completing the following duties:

• Read and interpret blueprint detail drawings and dimension styles
• Fabricate Parts to tolerance
• Update paperwork and reflect any changes
• Operate forklift and cranes according to safe operating procedures, including acquisition and maintenance training certificate
• Operate equipment in a 100% safe manner following appropriate regulations, policies and procedures
• Assembly is completed according to a planned schedule
• Work meets all quality standards and attention to detail
• Read 1/8”, 1/16”, and 1/32” gradations on tape measure
• Convert feet to inches and vice versa
• Convert Fractions to Decimals
