Responsibilities

HowPosition Summary:

This position will be responsible for the operation of equipment associated with the extrusion lines.

How you will perform the role...

  • Responsible for Inputting the appropriate parameters to maximize efficiency of the extruder.
  • Responsible for following the assigned production schedule.
  • Responsible for keeping the area(s) and machine(s) clean and free of debris.
  • Responsible for troubleshooting the extruder system for zone temperatures, vacuum, melt filtration, extruder speed and pelletizing parameters, pellet output quality and rate, and refresher system operation.
  • Responsible for the filing of work requests for repairs or preventive maintenance.
  • Responsible for conducting melt filter screen changes to include the cleaning of all parts involved. By utilization of brass brushes and an incinerator oven followed by water pressure cleaning or sand blasting.
  • Coordinate with Quality Associate (QA) to maintain product quality and avoid off-spec cross-contamination in the silos.
  • Participate and support, for every employee, a safe work environment by following all facility safety and compliance policies and procedures.
  • Participate and support, for every employee, and visitor; the adherence to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
