Job description

An Entry Level Operator is responsible for operating machinery on an assigned production line. They are to ensure safety, quality, and production goals are met. The Machine Operator (OPI) is a member of a High Performance Operating Team and is required to function within that team.

Work Schedule

12-hour shifts: Sunday-Tuesday and every other Saturday, from 7pm to 7am.

Responsibilities

1. Proficient in Packer duties.
2. Prepping and loading raw materials for equipment.
3. Assist in training new team members.
4. Rotate into any position as needed due to absences, breaks, etc.
5. Complete start of shift inspection and sanitation of equipment.
6. Participate in preventative maintenance of equipment.
7. Perform and/or participate in quality checks.
8. Maintain working knowledge of JDE and Docushare.
9. Complete minor machine changeovers (film, label, paper, box sizes).
10. Participate in major changeovers.
11. Communicate information to the on-coming shift.
12. Maintain 6S compliance.
13. Lift up to 30 pounds.
14. Stand for a minimum of 12 hours.
15. Wear PPE as required (hair net, beard net, etc.).

Required Experience

• Strong verbal, written, and analytical skills.
• Ability to organize, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines.
• Multi-tasking skills.
• Ability to work in a team and independently with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of cGMP regulations and guidelines.
• Understanding of manufacturing lines and processes.
• Proficiency in JDE for transaction verification and corrections.
