Responsibilities

• Operate saws for structural steel and a brake press for bending metal.
• Operate overhead cranes to move materials and parts.
• Operate machine tools such as lathes, drill presses, milling machines, and grinders according to production specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, route sheets, and job orders to determine setups, tooling, and sequence of operations.
• Select and set cutting speeds, feed rates, and depths of cuts based on material and finish requirements.
• Measure and verify parts using calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure conformance to specifications.
