Job summary

Southwire Company, located in Florence, Alabama, is seeking a Night Shift Operator to support heavy industrial production. You will apply high-level knowledge of equipment/process from start to finish, learn new processes, and help achieve daily/weekly goals.

Minimum requirements include one year in a heavy industrial setting and a high school diploma or GED. Competitive benefits and opportunities for advancement are offered.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily and weekly production goals efficiently.
• Serve as the first point of contact for problems and escalate to the Production Supervisor if unresolved.
• Ensure Operators perform tasks per SOPs.
• Lead and perform preventive maintenance activities and unplanned repairs.
• Prioritize safety and maintain clean, organized work areas.
• Train Operators where needed.

Location:Florence, AL

Shift: Night Shift, 6:45 PM - 7 :00 AM

Pay Rate:$22.00– $27.00

Job Description

Must have high level knowledge of equipment/process from start to finish and willing to learn where development is needed or new processes launched.
Focused on achieving daily and weekly production goals at the most efficient way possible.
Will act as the first point of contact when problems arise. Escalate issues to the Production Supervisor if they can’t be solved.
Ensure Operators are performing tasks in accordance with SOPs.
Lead, and capable of, applicable preventive maintenance activities and unplanned repairs.
Stresses safety at all times.
Ensure work areas are clean and well organized.
Training of Operators where needed.

Minimum experience requirements:

One year experience working in a heavy industrial environment

Highschool diploma or GED
