Job summary

Quanex is looking for a Machine Operator - Days in Molalla, Oregon to join our team. You will operate and verify machines, handling mechanical parts in a dusty environment and following customer specifications and production standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 6 months of related machine operating experience in manufacturing.
• Ability to read blueprints and use measuring instruments.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Sets up, operates, and verifies work on assigned machine that meets customer specification, quality requirements, and production standards.
• Assists in other work areas when workload permits or requires.
• Observes closely the operation of tools and machinery.
• Monitors product to ensure quality standards are being met.

In this role, you will work with mechanical parts and machines in a dusty environment. Any hazardous chemical exposure is specifically defined on accessible safety data sheets. Balancing, stooping, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, repetitive motions are all part of the Machine Operator role.

• Pay: $18.50 - $23.11 an hour, based on experience
