Description

Are you experienced in electronics or light manufacturing? Samtec is seeking DAY Shift MACHINE OPERATORS with relevant manufacturing experience. Starting pay is $22.00/hr with training provided. The position is located at our Wilsonville, OR cable plant. Shifts are scheduled for 12 hours, 3 days per week, with full benefits. Currently, openings are on DAY Shift, 5:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Thursday-Friday-Saturday).

New associates may train on a different shift for a month before transferring to the regular schedule. Flexibility is important. On-the-job training is provided, along with an annual bonus. Required Experience

• Good computer entry skills with attention to detail.

Preferred Experience

• Ability to read and understand specifications, schematics, shop orders, prints, and operating instructions; perform basic math and statistics; identify and troubleshoot basic functional problems; and collaborate with supervisors and engineers.
• Cable manufacturing experience is a plus.

Preferred Education

• High school diploma or GED
• Technical degree or certificate is a plus

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for 12 hours.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.

Essential Functions / Responsibilities

• Set up and operate equipment for customer orders.
• Maintain quality and on-time delivery standards.
• Manage job inventory according to procedures.
• Complete required paperwork accurately.
• Report machine issues via maintenance requests.
• Follow approved processes for shielding and extrusion, including setup, operation, safety, and inventory management.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored and equipment is clean.
