Job summary

TreeHouse Foods is seeking a Machine Operator - Crew D in Hanover, PA for the production operations team. The role operates packing machines and ensures product quality while adhering to changeovers and production schedules.

The position is full-time on a rotating D shift (7:00 PM–7:00 AM; Week 1: Sun, Wed, Thu; Week 2: Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat). The hourly rate is $26.75, with shift differential included.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience following instructions/process documents and providing effective communication, both verbal and written.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment – food manufacturing a plus.
• The ability to work overtime and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Operates packing room machines at specified speed to meet production standards.
• Reviews production sheet to anticipate changeovers and assign products to machines.
• Monitors weights and seals to ensure bag quality and minimize waste.
• Performs weight checks on packing lines to ensure product specifications.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Description

About the Role

• Ensures that production standards are met by: operating all packing room machines at specified efficiency (speed). Packing room machines include: Hayssens, box machines, box tapers, stretch wrapper, diverter gates, case labelers and sonic sensors.
• Determines upcoming production needs by studying production sheet to anticipate changeovers and assigned products to machines. Uses this information to have correct film, co-dates, stickers, hot stamps, etc. ready for next order.
• Maintains specifications by observing operations, detecting malfunctions and inspecting product for pleats, leakers, holes, registration, and code-dates to keep within specified bag waste limits.
• Ensures product specifications by completing weight checks on packing lines.
• Other duties as assigned

Important Details

This is a full-time permanent role on D shift, which operates from 7:00p to 7:00p rotating shift:

Week 1

Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday from 7pm to 7am.

Week 2

Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday from 7pm to 7am.

The hourly rate is $26.75/hr

including shift differential pay
