Job Opportunity: Machine Operator at County Materials Corporation

County Materials Corporation is a leading manufacturer and trusted industry resource for concrete construction and landscape products. For over 75 years, their products have contributed to building communities across America.

We are seeking a Machine Operator for our client, County Materials, located in Roberts, WI.

Job Duties:

1. Roll wire mesh for reinforced concrete manholes and pipe manufacturing using a cage wire rolling machine.
2. Pay close attention to detail; read and interpret production shop drawings.
3. Maintain cleanliness and proper maintenance of the machine at all times.
4. Utilize good math skills, including measuring with a tape measure.
5. Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot the wire machine as needed.
6. Understand manufacturing processes.
7. Learn or operate tack welding and torch use.
8. Operate forklift and overhead cranes after training.
9. Collaborate with the Plant Supervisor to ensure wire cages are produced according to schedule.

Work Environment:

• Indoor and outdoor conditions, including extreme temperatures.
• Near moving machinery and electrical hazards.
• Confined spaces and noisy environments.

Physical Requirements:

• Sitting, standing, walking, climbing, squatting, crouching, kneeling, bending.
• Lifting and carrying 10-40 pounds.
• Pushing, pulling, reaching above shoulder.

Experience & Qualifications:

• Willingness to learn and be trained.
• Safety-conscious attitude.
• Forklift operation experience preferred but not required.
• Experience in construction or building materials industry preferred but not required.
• Ability to occasionally lift heavy objects.
• Mechanically inclined; able to stand throughout the shift.
