Job description

Machine Operator - County Materials (Finance)

County Materials Corporation is a leading manufacturer and trusted industry resource for concrete construction and landscape products. For more than 75 years, their products have been used to build the communities where Americans live, work, and play.

We are seeking a 2nd shift Machine Operator for our customer, County Materials in Roberts, WI.

Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 4:00 pm - 2:00 am

Compensation: $23/hr and above based on experience + shift differential.

Job Duties:

• Roll wire mesh for reinforced concrete manholes and pipe manufacturing using a cage wire rolling machine.
• Read and interpret production shop drawings with attention to detail.
• Keep machine clean and well-maintained at all times.
• Use good math skills, including tape measure usage.
• Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot the wire machine as needed.
• Understand manufacturing processes.
• Learn to tack weld and use a torch.
• Operate a forklift and overhead cranes (training provided).
• Coordinate with Plant Supervisor to ensure wire cages are produced according to schedule.

Work Environment:

• Indoor and outdoor conditions, including extreme temperatures.
• Near moving machinery and electrical hazards.
• Confined spaces and noisy environments.

Physical Requirements:

• Sitting, standing, walking, climbing, squatting, crouching, kneeling, bending.
• Lifting and carrying 10-40 pounds.
• Pushing, pulling, reaching above shoulder level.

Experience & Qualifications:

• Willingness to learn and be trained.
• Safety-minded approach.
• Forklift or mobile equipment operation experience preferred but not required.
• Experience in construction or building materials industry preferred but not required.
• Ability to perform occasional heavy lifting.
• Mechanically inclined and able to stand throughout the shift.
