Machine Operator- Cold Form Operator (3rd Shift)

This position reports to:

Production Supervisor

Your role and responsibilities

1. Performs specialized work tasks per work instructions and/or blueprints.
2. Reviews work instructions and blueprints to determine job specifications, machine adjustments, tooling, and material requirements.
3. May have to plan, improvise or independently determine methods for ensuring high customer satisfaction.
4. Responds to internal/external customers at the highest operating level.
5. Sets jobs as laid out by the Cold form Tech or Team Lead.
6. Works at the highest safety-focused level.
7. Documents work using manufacturing systems; may update documentation or drawings and interface between quality, shop, and engineering.
8. Assists in troubleshooting or troubleshoots problems in work area systems, processes, or machines.
9. Ensures waste is disposed of properly and scrap is minimized.
10. May be required to train operators on specialized work area equipment and secondary operations.
11. Uses measurement tools such as dial calipers, snap gauges, micrometers, as required.
12. Performs machine maintenance like oiling machines, dies, or workpieces as per instructions.
13. Stacks, marks, packs, and transports finished workpieces.
14. Maintains a high level of housekeeping.
15. Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications for the role

• Basic Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required. Minimum 2 years experience in machine operation or related manufacturing processes. Experience with hand tools and reading measurement tools is a plus.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with cold forming (extrusion) equipment, secondary equipment, or processes. Mechanical aptitude, ability to train co-workers, follow quality plans and work instructions, and read blueprints.
