Kelly Services is seeking a Machine Operator – 2nd Shift to work at a premier manufacturing client in Newburyport, MA. The role involves operating and maintaining coating machines, reading schedules, and performing machine setups.

You must have a high school diploma or GED, manufacturing experience or mechanical aptitude, and basic computer skills. The position requires 2nd shift hours (3pm–11pm) with overtime and occasional weekends.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing experience and/or mechanical aptitude preferred.
• Intermediate computer skills and strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Operating and maintaining coating machines, ensuring optimal performance and quality.
• Reading schedules to determine solutions and changeovers, and performing machine setups as needed.
• Observing machines during operation to detect defects, making necessary adjustments, and performing quality checks.
• Handling material movement (loading, unloading, packing, and transporting) using carts, pallet jacks, and forklifts.
• Cleaning machines and equipment between runs, with occasional confined space entry.
• Recording production run quantities, following SOPs, and conducting QA testing using computer equipment.
• Assisting other operators, cross-training on equipment, and supporting other departments as needed.

Kelly Services is seeking a Machine Operator – 2nd Shift to work at a premier manufacturing client in Newburyport, MA.
Client will consider hiring directly for a permanent position for the right candidate!

• Pay Rate: $22.00 – $24.00 per hour (plus $1.75 shift differential)

• Monday – Friday

• 2nd shift: 3pm – 11pm; must be willing to work overtime, 1 to 2 weekends (Saturday and Sunday) at least 1-2 times a month.

Requirements:

• Can comply with a 100% non-smoking campus policy and complete a respiratory clearance exam (as needed)
  
• Are available for 2nd shift and overtime/weekend work as required
