Job Description

The Perryman Company in Coal Center, PA is hiring for Machine Operators. General duties include:

  • Participating in daily production activities
  • Loading and unloading machines using forklifts, overhead cranes, and by hand
  • Performing torch cutting, drilling, and welding tasks as required
  • Performing regular and scheduled maintenance on machines
  • Moving and staging materials to be processed
  • Cleaning and organizing workstations daily and as needed
Requirements
  • One to three months’ experience or related training; or equivalent education and experience
  • Ability to work rotating shifts
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and stand for up to 12 hours
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and manuals
  • Basic math skills for measuring and calculations
  • Accurate data entry skills
  • Experience with overhead cranes and forklifts preferred
  • May be exposed to extreme heat
