Job description

Position Purpose:

Responsible for operating Robotic Cells, including manual lathes such as Mazak or Okuma, to chuck up and turn parts to specified dimensions. Operates Robots, Center Bench, Heat Treat, and Hobb or Rack Roller. Stacks finished parts in shipping containers. Makes adjustments and performs tool changes. Inspects parts to ensure dimensional accuracy.

Hourly Pay Range:

$18.50 - $21.75 + $1.00 shift adder for 3rd shift

Essential Functions:
  1. Reads work orders and blueprint specifications to determine the required program.
  2. Reviews material requirements and adjusts machines accordingly.
  3. Sets up machines with provided programs and makes necessary adjustments.
  4. Manually maneuvers Robots when needed.
  5. Multi-tasks several operations.
  6. Measures parts for dimensional accuracy using precision gauges such as snap gauges, height gauges, calipers, dial indicators, and micrometers.
  7. Follows written and oral work instructions.
  8. Works well with supervision and co-workers.
  9. Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Training:

High School Diploma or GED. CNC Machining experience is a plus.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to use precision measuring equipment.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Computer literacy for recording information.
Physical Demands:
  • Stand continuously for 8–12 hours.
  • Work in tight spaces.
  • Operate tools for repairs with strength and manual dexterity.
  • Lifting up to 20 pounds repetitively and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Twisting, bending, climbing, and manual labor.
  • Good eye/hand coordination and motor skills.
Environmental Conditions:
  • Exposure to loud noises, hot and humid conditions.
  • Exposure to coolants, oils, grease, and water.
  • Ear and eye protection required in all production areas.
  • Steel toe boots with metatarsal guards required.
