Objective:

The Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining machines. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical skills, and adherence to safety and quality standards. The Machine Operator reports to the Shop Lead and/or the Director of Operations.

Job Responsibilities:

• Properly and safely use tools and equipment in the shop.
• Inspect plated parts for uniformity, thickness, and defects.
• Provide clear and concise written documentation and follow instructions in English.
• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and job orders.
• Accurately read calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring devices up to 0.000X".
• Grind close tolerance diameters in materials like inconel, titanium, stainless steel, chrome, etc.

Requirements

Qualifications/Experience:

• 1-2 years experience in grinding/honing operations.
• Good dexterity for working with small items.
• Experience with precision measuring tools.
• Motivated with strong ethics.
• Team player.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Military or Trade School experience is a plus.
• Ability to document maintenance and work within estimated hours.
• Flexible to work long hours, including weekends.
• Proficient in English communication.
• Experience with grinding machines, lathes, and mills.
• Welding experience is a plus.
• Ability to read blueprints and hold tight tolerances.
• Adaptable to fast-paced environment.
• Friendly and outgoing communication skills.
• Good attendance and positive attitude.

Physical Requirements:

• Stand for extended periods.
• Lift up to 40 lbs.
• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.

Job Details

Pay Range: $18.00 - $21.00 / hour
