Machine Operator - Caster (2nd Shift)- NY

Job Summary
We're seeking a skilled machine operator to join our team. Your primary responsibilities include loading polyethylene resin and unloading finished parts from the rotational molding oven. You will also check the schedule and oven programs for accuracy and ensure the quality of the parts before transferring them to the Secondary department for trimming.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate molding machines safely and efficiently
  • Assemble and dismantle molds as part of a team
  • Conduct mold changes using overhead cranes and rigging
  • Transfer plastic resin into ovens and molds
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures
  • Track and follow the production schedule

Qualifications

  • Effective team player (required)
  • High attention to detail (required)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (required)
  • Ability to stand for at least 10 hours in a hot environment (required)
  • At least 1 year of manufacturing or construction experience (preferred)
  • High school diploma or GED (preferred)

Physical Requirements

The physical demands include standing, walking, manual handling, reaching, talking, hearing, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Vision requirements include close, color, and peripheral vision. Reasonable accommodations may be provided.
