Job summary

Barnes Aerospace West Chester MRO is seeking a Machine Operator to set-up and operate CNC Grinder, EDM, or Laser machines to ensure parts meet specification and requirements. This role emphasizes precision and attention to quality and productivity.

The ideal candidate has two years of experience in a production/shop setting, can follow instructions, communicate clearly, and stay deadline-driven while complying with FAA and DOT safety testing rules.

Responsibilities

• Set-up and operate CNC Grinder, EDM or Laser machines to ensure parts conform to specification and requirements.
• Monitor parts dimensions using jigs, fixtures, gauges, calipers, micrometers and height gauges to assure conformity of parts.
• Complete paperwork required to document the quality of parts completed.
• Check paperwork to determine required assembly and any special options.
• Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and sub-assemblies, per customer order.
• Use precision measuring tools to check parts for correct fit and dimensions.
• Build electrodes for Fast Hole EDM.

• Monitor parts dimensions using jigs, fixtures, gages, calipers, micrometers and height gages to assure conformity of parts.
• Complete paperwork required to document the quality of parts completed.
• Checks paperwork to determine required assembly and any special options.
• Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and sub-assemblies, per customer order.
• Uses precision measuring tools to check parts for correct fit and dimensions.
• Build electrodes for Fast Hole EDM

• High school diploma or equivalent
