Base pay range

$25.63/hr - $27.93/hr

Lakeside is currently seeking a skilled 1st Shift Machine Operator to join our dedicated team. This is a key role responsible for precision welding and assembly of stainless steel products that meet our high-quality standards and customer specifications. POSITION HIGHLIGHTS: Schedule: 4-day workweek - Monday through Thursday, 10-hour shifts Shift: 1st Shift 5:00 am - 3:30 pm Overtime: As needed, additional hours are available on Fridays Work Environment: Culture forward, team-oriented, safety-first, free coffee, nice lunchroom PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Setup and operate all of the following machinery: Small mechanical press breaks and small mechanical punch presses Deburring machines Straightener Large shear Cold saw Drill table Hand bender Spotfacer Perform first piece inspection to ensure parts meet specifications. Read parts lists, blueprints, and drawings. Perform all required routine and minor maintenance activities according to Company procedures. Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documents, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS: Requires a high school diploma/GED equivalent, plus 1-3 years related experience Ability to read blueprints, tape measure, micrometer, square, and protractor. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to successfully pass forklift certification. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand up to 9 hours a day. Vision requirements include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Exposure to Electro Magnetic Fields. EMF fields can interfere with some medical implants, including pacemakers.
