Johnson Controls’ Silent-Aire division seeks an experienced CNC Brake Press Machine Operator to assist in fabrication and assembly of data center equipment parts. You will load, pre-program, and create programs for bending operations while following safety rules and PPE guidelines.

The role requires reading blueprints, setting up machines, and ensuring quality during production. Expect a hands-on environment with teamwork under supervision to meet schedules.

Qualifications

• Completion of high school or equivalent education preferred.
• Experience operating CNC Brake Press or similar sheet metal equipment.
• Familiarity with reading schematics and blueprints.

Responsabilités

• Minimum of 3 years as a CNC Brake Press Operator for ACC or Safan machines.
• Fabrication of piece parts per schematic under supervision.
• Assemble parts into final product.
• Read blueprints and program machining equipment to produce parts.
• Operate metalworking equipment (brake, shear, saw, punch).
• Maintain equipment and notify manager of malfunctions.
• Adhere to safety protocols and PPE guidelines.

Shift 2: Monday-Thursday: 2:00pm-12:30am

Job Description Summary

The primary role of the CNC Brake Press Machine Operator is to facilitate the assembly and fabrication of products, which may require the use of sheet metal manipulation machinery. Operator will prepare, set up and adjust CNC Press Brake as required by product plans and production schedules. Operator must be able to load, pre-programmed and create own programs to bend. Operator will also adhere to safety protocols of involved with operating heavy machinery as well as personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Minimum of 3 years as a CNC Brake Press Operator of one of the above machines.
• Fabrication of piece parts as per schematic under supervision of a Team Lead/Supervisor/Senior Production Manager.
• Assembly of piece parts into final product.
• Ability to read blueprints and program machining equipment to produce required parts.
• Ability to use metal working manipulation machinery (brake, shear, saw, punch, etc.).
• Familiarize self with and/or request training concerning machining equipment.
• Inspect and maintain equipment to ensure good working order and notify Team Lead/Supervisor/Senior Production Manager of malfunctions.
• Assist trades people and Team Lead/Supervisor/Senior Production Manager with responsibilities pertinent to progress of project in a safe manner.
• Familiarize self with new projects and duties, and/or request training concerning new equipment.
• Organize department and keep department clean, also clean department at the end of each workday.
• Notify the Team Lead/Supervisor/Senior Production Manager of any unsafe conditions, practices and/or procedures observed.
• May be required to move materials with forklift or overhead crane if trained and authorized.
• Performs all duties in accordance with Silent-Aire Limited Partnership safety program standards and Safety Act, Regulations, and Code.
• Effective verbal and listening communications skills.

• Ability to read schematics, blueprints and other technical diagrams.
• Critical eye for identifying defects.

• Ability to complete daily activities according to work schedule.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Completion of high school or equivalent education preferred
• Additional education or apprenticeship program which compliments the Metal Working Machine Operator's performance is preferred.
• Experience with all safe practices, procedures, and overall processes associated with manufacturing from raw materials to finished product.
